現代語訳
元の御道を通り廊下を通って書院へお入りになり、しばらくあって山亭の御支度を仰せ出された。御袴をお召しになり山亭へお入りになった。御先立は御用人。山亭で献上物の柿一台があり、御近習番役の御用人が披露し相済んだ。方丈並びに光祥寺の御匙医師が罷り出て、御菓子名酒をお召し上がりになり、御相伴の面々への給仕は表御小姓役が行った。ここで御側向頭取から相伺い、御供揃いを仰せ出された。御儒者高野惣左衛門を今日思召しでお召し連れになったのをお召しになり《割書：但しお召し連れになったことは御用人から惣左衛門へ前もって通知があった》詩作を仰せ付けられた。

御前で認めて差し上げ、直に方丈へお下しになった。御茶をお召し上がりになり御相伴へも出し、しばらく御話等があった。御程合いを見計らって御菓子三方を引き、相済んで方丈は退去した。それから直に奥書院へお入りになり、後段で浮き麩の御吸物をお召し上がりになった。方丈と御匙医師【御匙医師は□で囲ってある】が御相伴し、御匙医師も罷り出たが光祥寺は罷り出なかった。相済んで表書院へお入りになり、御供揃いを申し上げ、玄関からお立ちになった。方丈にお見送りの御意があった。
一、御廟御拝の節、御廟所へは御中老御側向頭取は罷り越さず、御用人も一人は居残った。
一、岩山で御側向へお取りになった松茸九十本余りがあり、お持ちになって貞照院様謙五郎様へ進上することになり、御残りの分は御供の御中老御用人御側向頭取へ両部屋や御医師等へお下しになった。

一、九月八日 先達て出淵平兵衛が免状書物御伝授申し上げたい旨、御内慮をうかがったところ御辞退されるという段を申し聞いたが、是非差し上げたい旨、今一応うかがってくれるよう申し達したので、その段をなお又うかがったところ、そのように是非申し上げることであれば御受けになる。時節については当暮に弟子共の手数が相済んだ上で御伝授申し上げるよう仰せ出された。その段を平兵衛へ申し聞いたところ、段々厚い思召しありがたい旨申し聞いた。

Proceeding along the original path through the corridor to the study, after remaining there briefly, preparations for the mountain pavilion were ordered. He put on his hakama and entered the mountain pavilion. The chamberlain led the way. At the mountain pavilion there was an offering of persimmons on one stand, which was presented by the chamberlain of the attendant guard duty and completed. The chief priest and the physician from Koshoji Temple attended, and fine confections and sake were served, with table service for the companions provided by the front page attendants. Here, upon inquiry from the side attendant head, a retinue assembly was ordered. Confucian scholar Takano Sozaemon, who was brought along today by special consideration, was summoned 《marginal note: However, his being brought along was communicated in advance from the chamberlain to Sozaemon》 and ordered to compose poetry.
[Insertion] In the year of the dragon, Tanzo composed it in the next room and brought it out to present [end insertion]
He composed it before his lordship and presented it, then it was immediately given to the chief priest. Tea was served and also offered to the companions, and there was conversation for a while. Judging the appropriate time, the three-tiered confection stands were cleared away, and when finished, the chief priest withdrew. Then he immediately entered the inner study, and later partook of wheat gluten soup. The chief priest and physician 【physician is enclosed in a box】 served as companions, and the physician also attended, but the Koshoji priest did not attend. When finished, he entered the front study, the retinue assembly was announced, and he departed from the entrance. There was a farewell message to the chief priest.
1. During worship at the mausoleum, the middle elder and side attendant head did not proceed to the mausoleum site, and one chamberlain remained behind.
1. More than ninety pine mushrooms were gathered for the side attendants at the rocky mountain, which were carried back and presented to Teisho-in-sama and Kengoro-sama, with the remainder bestowed upon the accompanying middle elder, chamberlain, side attendant head, both chambers, and physicians.
