一、六月十四日、松本天王、木田天王祭礼大祇園会があり、総町方十一組で万灯出し、屋台練り子出し、外に誓願寺村一組踊り子が出たにつき、四時過ぎより角御櫓へお入りになり御覧になられた。御側向当番の面々代わる代わる御次床で見物を仰せ付けられた。大奥は南の方床で見物があった。
一、六月十五日、五時御供揃いで御本丸へお移りになり、御家督の御賀のため俄かに年頭の御規式御礼をお受けになり、八時半過ぎに御帰殿になられた。今日は御家老中はじめ当職の分残らず一統まで諸職人もあった。

June 14th, there were Matsumoto Tennō and Kida Tennō festival celebrations and a great Gion festival, with eleven town groups putting out ten thousand lanterns, parade floats and dancing children, plus one group of dancers from Seigan-ji village. From past four o'clock, his lordship entered the corner turret to observe. The attendants on duty took turns watching from the next-floor platform.
