一、十二月二十一日 五時半に御供揃えで勝見筋へ御捉飼御鷹野にお入りになった。御膳所は和田中村勘右衛門。御出殿五時半二寸、御帰殿八時五分。ただし今日は御日柄故、御名目だけの御鷹野で、御往来とも御駕籠でお入りになった。
一、御座の間へお移りになり、御献上の鳫鴨を御覧遊ばされた。御膳番が勤め、御中老が出席、もっとも御袴のみ着用。
一、十二月二十二日 八時集合で出淵平兵衛流儀の免状御伝授を申し上げた。御服紗御上下で御稽古所の毎度の場所へ御着座。この節、平兵衛が差し上げた御目録を台に置いて差し出したのを、小兵衛が持ち出し御前へ差し上げ、御意により流儀の免状を差し上げたところ、御大慶遊ばされた旨があり、開封すべき旨を平兵衛へ御意された。則ち罷り出て開封し一通り申し上げて相済み、小兵衛が罷り出て巻き納め御側に差し置き、平兵衛の遣り方を御覧になり、それから御遣い方遊ばされて相済み、平兵衛が御礼申し上げ御用人が御取り合いして相済み、御小座敷へお入りになり御召し替え遊ばされ、常の御稽古遊ばされた。もっとも御伝授の節は御用人・御側向頭取のみ出席。御打太刀は吉倉鉄五郎のみ、皆上下着用。

【朱書き】今晩は節分につき表で御就寝
一、十二月二十三日 七時半集合で節分御祝儀の御式があった。韃靼の間へお移りになり、孔雀の間において御年男が御大豆・囃子で御祝儀を相勤めた旨、御膳番が披露した。御三方・御打鮑・御斗豆・御清祓、いずれも御膳番役で御祝い遊ばされた。御膳番が引いた後、再び御手熨斗・白御三方を御正面へ御膳番が差し上げた（ただし御豆はそのまま差し置く）。御用人三人・御側向頭取（当番のみ）・御医師（同上）に御豆を御手慰みとして直々に下された。畢って御三方を御膳番が引き、御豆・御熨斗を御左右の表御小姓が差し上げ、御近習番頭取から罷り出て自分で頂戴した。御小姓・表御小姓も同様、いずれも当番のみ。畢って再び御豆・御熨斗を御正面へ御膳番が出し、御目付一人・当番の御側物頭が罷り出て御豆・御熨斗を直々に下された。ただし御儒者は罷り出なかった。相済んで大奥へお入りになり御式があり、謙五郎様もお入りになり、御同道で大奥へお入りになった。この節、御小座敷御休息へ御年男が罷り出て御豆撒きをした。ただし今後は表へお移りの節に御豆撒きする方が都合よい旨仰せ出された。

1. 22nd day of 12th month: Assembly at 8 o'clock for the transmission of Izubuchi Heibei school certificate. Wearing formal silk court dress, took seat at the usual place in the practice hall. At this time, the catalog that Heibei had prepared was placed on a stand and presented. Kohei brought it out and presented it before his lordship. Upon his lord's instruction, the school certificate was presented, which greatly pleased his lordship. He ordered it to be opened, instructing Heibei accordingly. Heibei immediately came forward, opened it, read through it completely, and when finished, Kohei came forward, rolled it up and placed it at his lord's side. After viewing Heibei's technique and then practicing the techniques himself, Heibei offered thanks, the chamberlain handled the proceedings, and when finished, his lordship entered the small sitting room, changed clothes, and practiced as usual. For the transmission ceremony, only chamberlains and chief attendants were present. For sword practice, only Yoshikura Tetsugoro attended, all wearing court dress.
