右が〇御意を受け同様に講談を申し上げ相済み、御初を仰せ付けられ有難い旨、御用人がお取り合いがあり、この節養子源助と一緒に罷り出て終わってから退去した。

時刻になってしばらく御小座敷へお入りになり、御巻藁等を片付け、御稽古の御道具を差し出し御支度を申し上げ、再び御稽古所へお入りになりご着座。中村市右衛門、出淵平兵衛、市橋軍兵衛、廉三郎、高畠金三郎、同文弥が罷り出て、次第に亥年の通り相済み。
一、正月七日 五時揃い《代り合いから御礼済みまで上下着用》御座の間で諸御使が終わってから、本多内蔵助方を始め御家老中の当日御礼が済み、本多路夕、引狛只静の年頭御礼で御意があり、御手のしを下された。韃靼の間で荻野友山、明石右仲の御礼。鉄炮の間で御立掛り、宝蔵院伊勢の御代拝帰りの御目見。大広間で町人総代年寄共の御礼が相済み、御小座敷へお入りになり、再び鉄炮の間で隠居の面々一統の御礼で御意《息災で》があった。大広間で町人共、吉江、松岡、三国、金津同様に終わってから、鉄炮の間で町医師の御礼があり相済み、四時十五分前。
一、七時 御庭の御宮並びに元御座所の御庭御宮共に御拝【御用人がお供があり、御先立は新右衛門】旧冬の通りあった。
一、正月八日 五時半揃い。ただし表揃いを申し上げて寺社御礼があり、九時半前に済み。

一、正月十一日 六時半揃い 御座の間で御具足餅の御祝い、御家老がお相伴して終わってから、御家老息、御城代息、御傅役、御中老、御用人に御餅、御のしを御直々に下された。鉄炮の間で寿福院年頭御礼。大広間で高知から御膳番まで御餅を自分で頂戴した。韃靼の間で御小姓同様。御小休、新番まで済み、御二度御膳後小役人まで済み。鉄炮の間で宇都宮弥三郎に御手ずから下された。御医師から花木栄まで頂戴して終わってから、前髪子供の頂戴が相済み、八時過ぎ〇在方大庄屋の御礼をお立掛りでお受けになった。

Celebration of armored rice cakes in the sitting room, with senior councilor in attendance, then after finishing, ceremonial rice cakes and gifts were personally bestowed upon the senior councilor's son, castle deputy's son, tutor, middle councilor, and chamberlain. In the gun room, Jufuku-in New Year thanks. In the great hall from Kochi to meal attendants personally received rice cakes. In the Tartar room, pages likewise. Rest period, new guard shift finished, after the second meal small officials finished. In the gun room, personally bestowed upon Utsunomiya Yasaburo.
