『三才図会』
亀蓮羊草
或いは芣菜を荇（アサザ）菜とし、荇菜を睡蓮とするが、共に誤りである。
荇菜、睡菜（ヒツジグサ）【コレンケ】、蓴菜、芣菜は
四種一類の別種である。

『草花譜』曰く、紫白同蔕のものあり、
二色鶏頭と名づく

Water ■ [possibly turtle] Fúcài [Kaeru-enza, Dōgame-kakami, Chan-chan-mo]
"Sancai Tuhui":
Turtle lotus sheep grass
Some mistakenly consider fúcài to be xìng (Nymphoides) vegetables, and xìng vegetables to be water lilies, but both are errors.
Xìng vegetables, sleeping vegetables (Hitsujigusa) [Korenke], water shield vegetables, and fúcài are four species of one category but different varieties.
