現代語訳
養子にしたい旨を願い申し上げたところ、御聴許になったが、まだ御下知がない内に兄九兵衛が病死した。同年十二月、亡兄九兵衛の願いの通り養子に仰せ付けられ、九兵衛の御知行二百五十石の内百石を下し置かれ、外様組付に仰せ付けられ、篠田半右衛門組にて御城御番を相勤めた。
一、同三年寅年十一月、御代官役を仰せ付けられた。

一、同四年未年三月、勤番として江戸表へ上り、同年閏八月、御下向の御供をして下った。

[Shirōzaemon] petitioned to adopt him as his son, and while permission was granted, before the official order was issued, his elder brother Kyūbei died of illness. In the 12th month of the same year, he was appointed as adopted son according to the deceased brother Kyūbei's wish. He was granted 100 koku from Kyūbei's stipend of 250 koku, appointed to the tozama group, and served castle guard duty under Shinoda Hanuemon's unit.
