現代語訳
相違なく下され、外様組付を仰せ付けられ、上田八郎右衛門組に入り、御城御番を相勤めた。
一、同三年戌年三月、御供番を仰せ付けられた。
一、同五年子年四月、御参勤につき御供として勤番のため登り、同十月に下った。
一、同六年丑年四月、御下向につき御迎えとして立ち帰り登り、同月御供仕って下った。
一、同七年寅年十月、勤番のため江戸表へ登り、翌卯四月、御下向の御供仕って下った。
一、同十一年午年正月、病身につき御供番御赦免を下し置かれたい旨願い申し上げたところ、年若い者につき、ゆっくりと養生仕り相勤めるよう仰せ出された。
一、同年十月、勤番のため江戸表江登ったところ、同十一月より御戸番仮役を仰せ付けられ、同十二月まで相勤め、翌未四月、御下向の節、御戸番仮役を仰せ付けられ御供仕って下った。
英語訳
Without discrepancy, he was granted [the stipend] and appointed to the outer retainer group (gaisama-gumi-tsuki), entered Ueda Hachirōemon's group, and served guard duty at the castle.
1. In the 3rd month of the same 3rd year, year of the dog (1718), he was appointed to lord's escort duty (go-tomban).
1. In the 4th month of the same 5th year, year of the rat (1720), he went up [to Edo] as an escort for the lord's attendance at court (sankin), serving as duty officer, and came down in the 10th month of the same year.
1. In the 4th month of the same 6th year, year of the ox (1721), he went up to meet the lord on his return journey (go-gekō), and in the same month served as escort and came down.
1. In the 10th month of the same 7th year, year of the tiger (1722), he went up to Edo for duty service, and in the 4th month of the following year of the rabbit, he served as escort for the lord's return and came down.
1. In the 1st month of the same 11th year, year of the horse (1726), due to illness, he petitioned to be relieved of escort duty, but since he was still young, he was ordered to recover gradually while continuing his service.
1. In the 10th month of the same year, when he went up to Edo for duty service, from the 11th month he was appointed as temporary gate guard (go-toban kariyaku), served until the 12th month, and in the 4th month of the following year of the sheep, he was appointed temporary gate guard for the lord's return journey and served as escort coming down.
