- In the intercalary 6th month of the same 5th year (Year of the Dragon), he was appointed as ashigaru-metsuke (foot soldier inspector), and in addition to his previous stipend, he was granted an additional stipend of 2 koku and provisions for one person. He was also ordered to continue his duties in the lacquer tree department as before.
- In the 7th month of the same year, he was ordered that when his main duties were particularly busy, that took precedence, but when not busy, he should primarily focus on duties at the lacquer tree office.
