- In the 4th month of the same year, he went on official duty to Niigata for guard duty and ship loading. There he handled official business regarding procurement fund negotiations and returned in the 8th month of the same year.
- In the 8th month of the same 14th year (Year of the Ox), he was appointed as ashigaru-metsuke (foot soldier inspector) with his current position, and was granted the same stipend as before.
- In the 12th month of Bunsei 1st year (Year of the Tiger), he was commended for diligently working as an observer during the sorting of gold and silver that had been damaged by fire earlier that spring.
- In the 4th month of Bunsei 2nd year (Year of the Rabbit), during the lord's residence in the domain, he was appointed to palace service duties.
