処ニ而近来至極之繁華ニ相成り遊女町等も有之万
国船入津たへ不申候七嶋惣高凡金銭十二万枚其六万
枚ハ本地之主「キニカケヲリ」之御領ニ相成り半分六万枚ハ米利
幹より参り居る奉行躰之人「タフタリヨーヂ」所領ニ相成り此
人ハもと医業を以此の嶋へ参り多く人を救おのづと奉
行之様ニ相成本地半分を領し罷在候此処甚よろしき
奥山ニ而航海之途中ニ御座候間米利幹へ取り候へハ英吉利
承知不仕英吉利へ取候へハ伊斯波尓耶承知不仕至而
小国ニ候へ共何方へも属する事相成不申故ニ此地之
船印等ハ右三国之印を合用申候「キニカケヲリ」往来之
節ハ数々徒者有之先を払被參候行逢者之ミな
笠を取り申候其御内儀ハ名高き美人にて錦繍を
着金銀之飾り有之冠ニ而馬之上ニ坐し往来被致候
一 七島すへて山ニ而間に砂地御座候へ共五穀も生せず芋
葱の類を作り申候高十二万枚之金銭ハ多く入津
之万国船より取上る口銭ニ而御座候よし食物衣
類多く米利幹より貿易いたし候常食ハ麦ニ而
製し候「パン」と申物ニ而衣類ハ米利幹風之筒袖ニ仕り
羅紗類木綿類を以仕立候呂宋より参り候編たる笠を
着往来仕候女子ハ髪を天人もらいと申髪之様に仕り
罷在家作も多く米利幹風ニ而板屋根茅葺石屋
根等ニ而御座候石屋根と申候ハ石を瓦之様ニへき製し
たる物ニ而御座候禽獣草木格別日本と異り不申一種之
大綿之木御座候気候ハ暖和ニ而四時之分知無御座候

ところにて近来は至極の繁華になっており、遊女町等もあって万国の船が入津することが絶えない。七島の総高は凡そ金銭十二万枚で、その六万枚は本地の主「カメハメハ王」の御領分となり、半分の六万枚は米国より来ている奉行体の人「タフタリヨーヂ」の所領となっている。この人はもと医業をもってこの島へ来て多くの人を救い、自然と奉行のようになって本地の半分を領している。この処は甚だよろしき奥山にて航海の途中にある。米国へ取れば英国が承知せず、英国へ取れば スペインが承知せず、至って小国であるけれども何方へも属することができないゆえに、この地の船印等は右三国の印を合用している。「カメハメハ王」が往来の節は数多の従者があって先を払って参られる。行き合う者は皆笠を取る。その御内儀は名高き美人にて錦繍を
