　　　の赤いものも咲く

■吉野山
　　　薄い色の太い輪状の花
　　　の周りが白く、はっきりと
　　　多く咲いている様子は
　　　まるで桜の古木が盛り
　　　に見えるかのようである

　　　花であるから暮れ
　　　ないということは朱色の
　　　ように、太い輪が一か所に

　　　多く集まって咲く
　　　花の形や葉の口端は
　　　違わない。冬に落葉する。
　　　これを紅躑躅、映山紅、
　　　杜鵑花というのが適切
　　　であろう。杜鵑花は
　　　さつきの異名とも
　　　言うが、下学集には
　　　つつじの花と見えて
　　　いる。花もこの花が朱色
　　　のようで、その盛りも
　　　その季節であるから。
