本出版物の含む１５章は主として吾人がl'Institut Pas-
teurに於て過去３０年間に、実験的見地に於て、研究せる
問題に捧げたのである。顕著なる諸問題中、実際に同一
問題で異る外見を呈するは、予防的及び治療的接種方
法の問題である。他の研究者の材料を採用せるために、
本問題に関する最初の結構が屡々著しく増大するを免
かれない、亦、意見を確定するために、適宜に時々流用する
ことも已むも得なかつた。本冊子に総括せる所のもの
は、嘗て発表せる評論の統一である。

本出版物に含まれる15章は、主として私たちがパスツール研究所において過去30年間に、実験的観点から研究した問題に捧げたものである。顕著な諸問題の中で、実際には同一問題であるが異なる外見を呈するのは、予防的及び治療的接種方法の問題である。他の研究者の資料を採用したために、本問題に関する最初の構想がしばしば著しく拡大することを避けられず、また、意見を確定するために、適宜に時々引用することも止むを得なかった。本冊子に総括したものは、かつて発表した論文の統合である。

Preface
The fifteen chapters contained in this publication are dedicated primarily to problems that we have researched from an experimental perspective over the past thirty years at the Institut Pasteur. Among the notable problems, those that are actually the same issue but present different appearances are the problems of prophylactic and therapeutic inoculation methods. Due to adopting materials from other researchers, the initial framework concerning this problem could not avoid frequent and significant expansion, and it was also unavoidable to occasionally make appropriate references to establish definitive opinions. What is summarized in this booklet is a unification of previously published critiques.
