One: In the fifth month of the seventh year of Meiwa (1770), in accordance with his petition along with that of his guardian (*oyanakaema*), he was, for the first time, granted an audience (*o-memie*) with the lord.
One: In the twelfth month of the fourth year of An'ei (1775), for the forthcoming fourth month, during the absence of the lord on his pilgrimage to Nikkō (*Nikkō gosanpai gorushū-chū*), he was appointed as a fixed temporary hire (*sadame o-yatoi*) among the outer-rank samurai of the grand reception hall (*ohiroma gobangai*).
Note: After this, he served once in the said fixed temporary hire position.
