皆蠢へし段幾日尓蠢たるとも其日毎尓別
々なるわらだへ入扁し多少尓限らず撫込
尓して／雑（まじ）へたるは末尓至り不同尓成りて悪し

服より衣裳一重も／着増（きまし）右の蚕種越
現代語訳
へ伏せて包まずして僅かの間休ませ置く。右の蚕種を開いて見れば、桑の葉へ多分付き、大概は紙へ移るものなり。種紙の端などへ移りが足りなければ、裏より指にて打ち、包み紙へ一所になるように平らにし、孵化しかかったものを構わず元の通り別の紙へ伏せ、包み残して上を包み、棚へ上げ置く。翌朝前の如く給餌し、三日ばかりにて
給餌し回す。格別暖かい気候ならば一両日でも皆孵化するだろう。いつの日に孵化したとも、その日毎に別々な藁苞へ入れて平らにし、多少に限らず給餌込みにして、雑ぜたるは末に至り不揃いになって悪し。

Cover them face down without wrapping, and let them rest for just a short while. When you open and examine the silkworm eggs, most will have attached to the mulberry leaves, and generally they will have moved to the paper. If there are not enough that have moved to the edges of the seed paper, tap from behind with your finger to flatten them so they gather together on the wrapping paper. Without concern for those that are beginning to hatch, cover them with separate paper as before, leaving some unwrapped on top, and place them on the shelf. The next morning, feed them as before, and in about three days
complete the feeding rounds. In particularly warm weather, they will all hatch in just a day or two. Regardless of which day they hatch, put them in separate straw bundles each day and flatten them. Regardless of quantity, include feeding, as mixing them will result in unevenness later, which is bad.
