　留め春扁し若起揃ひか祢たらは是又
　前の如く春へし残なく起揃ひ堂らは桑
　を薄くかけ夫より次第尓むらなく厚く

　　是より後はわらだへ籾糠を敷入る尓及

止めるべし。もし起眠が揃わないならば、これまた前の如くすべし。残らず起き揃ったならば桑を薄くかけ、それより次第にむらなく厚くかけるべし。総じて一日に四五度ずつ掛けたるがよし。

　附記　右の起蚕は二度目にて鷹蚕という。これより後はわら束へ籾殻を敷き入れるに及ばず、蚕を直に取り分け置くべし。糠を敷くことは蠢始めと三日目と一起き目と都合三度に限るべし。

一、右の蚕分け揃えた後も、すべて前の通り取り扱うべし。

Note: The awakened silkworms at this second stage are called taka-go (hawk silkworms). From this point forward, there is no need to spread rice hulls on the straw bundles; the silkworms should be separated and placed directly. The spreading of bran should be limited to three times in total: at the beginning of stirring, on the third day, and at the first awakening.

First, even after the silkworms have been separated and arranged as described above, they should be handled in the same manner as before.

Note: This stage is called funa-go (boat silkworms). Generally, from the initial stirring until this point, there are concerns, and men and women of substance should remain ritually pure and stay in the silkworm room, occasionally tending the charcoal fire in front
