格別かわきや春く手繰も宜しきものな連

現代語訳
格別乾きやすく手繰りも良いものなので、別巻にも詳しく書き記したように、桑の刈り取りは第一に心がけておくべきである。庭起こしなどの時期は、幾重にも心を尽くして干し乾かして用いるのが良い。
一、蚕が桑を食べ終わって自然と集まり居るのを、蚕寄りという。毛子よりたかごまでは羽箒にて稿だの明間並びに藁だの際通りへ見合い直し振るい起こし、以後は手にて取り払い桑をかけるべきである。右の手段はそれだけ世話をすることにほかならず、始終ともに桑をかける際は右のような心を用いて良い。右の手入れなく桑をかければ、蚕が桑を不揃いに食い、揃わぬものである。
