会議はヨーロッパ全体に関わる大事であるから数ヶ月を経なければ決議できないと思われていたところ、突然ボナパルテが流刑地を脱出して兵を募りパリを襲うという風聞があり、会議は中途で中止となり、同盟諸国は再び軍を起こして彼の敵を討とうということで陣太鼓を打ち鳴らし、この会議は後日に延期された。

Since the conference concerned major affairs affecting all of Europe, it was thought that it would take several months to reach any decisions. However, suddenly there came rumors that Bonaparte had escaped from his place of exile, was raising troops, and was attacking Paris. The conference was abandoned halfway through, and the allied nations decided to raise armies again to defeat this enemy. War drums were beaten, and this conference was postponed to a later date.
