現代語訳
右の件については、享保十八年癸丑年の飢饉の後、時疫が流行した際に、町奉行所へ板行を仰せ付けられ、御料所の村々へ下された写しである。右の件は、当時諸国の村々で疫病が流行し、また身分の低い者どもが雑食の毒に当たり患って難儀している趣が聞こえてきた際に、前書の享保十八年丑年に村々へ下し置かれた御薬方書付の件について、年月が久しいことゆえ村々にて紛失してしまった件もあるだろうと思われるので、この度御救済のため、右の写しを村々へ領主・地頭より触れ回すよう致すべきである

右の件を諸民へ示すのに書写も容易ではなく、また誤脱がないことを計って領内限りで板行させるのに、女子どもまでも読みやすいように、則ち仮名付けにして村々へ広く施すものである

Regarding the above matter: after the famine of Kyōhō 18, Year of the Water Ox, when epidemics spread, publication was ordered through the town magistrate's office, and copies were distributed to villages in the shogunal domains. This matter concerns the time when epidemics were spreading in villages throughout the provinces, and common people were suffering hardships from poisoning by eating various foods. Since the medicinal prescription documents that were distributed to villages in Kyōhō 18, Year of the Ox, have likely been lost in many villages due to the passage of many years, copies should now be circulated to villages by domain lords and local administrators for the sake of relief.
The above matter should be announced.
Fifth month
Since it is not easy to make handwritten copies to show to all the people, and to ensure there are no errors or omissions, this is published within the domain so that even women and children can read it easily. Therefore, it is written with phonetic notation and widely distributed to all villages.
