┃上金九拾六匁九分は判（はん）壱枚￣ニ付卅八匁がへ也

【上巻三十八丁裏】
上金九十六匁九分は、一分判一枚につき三十八匁替えである。
中金百三十八匁六分は、一分判一枚につき四十二匁替えである。
下金八十二匁二分五厘は、一分判一枚につき四十七匁替えである。
三口合わせて三百十七匁七分五厘がある。これを一分判金に
替える時、右の三種の金に対して一分判金がどれほどになるかというと、
一分判金七枚六両になるという。
計算の方法として、上金九十六匁九分を三十八匁で割れば、二枚五両
半になる。○また中金百三十八匁六分を四十二匁で割れば、
三枚三両になる。○また下金八十二匁二分五厘を四十七匁で
割れば、一枚七両半になる。三口合わせて七枚六両である。

Middle gold (chūkin): 138 monme 6 bu, exchanged at 42 monme per ichibu-ban coin.
Inferior gold (gekin): 82 monme 2 bu 5 rin, exchanged at 47 monme per ichibu-ban coin.
The combined total of the three types is 317 monme 7 bu 5 rin. When converting this into ichibu-ban gold coins,
how many ichibu-ban coins do the three types of gold amount to?
Answer: 7 ichibu-ban coins and 6 ryō.
In the method: divide the superior gold, 96 monme 9 bu, by 38 monme, and it becomes 2 coins and 5 ryō
and a half. ○ Next, divide the middle gold, 138 monme 6 bu, by 42 monme, and it becomes
3 coins and 3 ryō. ○ Next, divide the inferior gold, 82 monme 2 bu 5 rin, by 47 monme,
and it becomes 1 coin and 7 ryō and a half. The combined total of the three types is 7 coins and 6 ryō.
