【右丁】
うへに六尺五寸をかくれは、廿三丈一寸#1になる。
又、左によこ十八間四尺とをき、一けんよりかみへ
六五をかくれは十二丈一尺となる。これを右の
廿三丈一寸にかくれは、一丈の／坪（つほ）弐百七十八坪
四分二り壱毛#2となるなり。これを一坪の法
四二二五#3にてわれは、六百五拾八坪九分八りと
しる也#4。これを田の法三にてわれは、二／反（たん）一／畝（せ）
廿八／歩（ぶ）九分八りとしるべし。
※同右のことく田長丗五間二尺六寸有時、尺より
したの二尺六寸を六五にてわれは丗五間四□【にヵ】

なる#5。又、／横（よこ）十八間四尺有。四尺ばかりを五六【六五の誤ヵ】にて
われは十八間六に成。又、一寸あまりあるを
すてはらふなり#6。長さよこ左右におき、かくれは
〇六百五拾八坪四分四り#7となるといふ。
すこし右之とちがひ有共、かくのごとく／置（をき）て
よきなり。見あわせかん用也。一けんよりうち
尺寸有は六五にてわりてちと残て有はすてゝ
よし。又、すこしはたらずとも、くわへ入て置也。
ことにより時により、いづれも見あわせかん用
なるへし。
現代語訳
【右丁】
上に六尺五寸をかければ、二十三丈一寸になる。
また、左に横十八間四尺と置き、一間より上に
六五をかければ十二丈一尺となる。これを右の
二十三丈一寸にかければ、一丈の坪二百七十八坪
四分二厘一毛となるなり。これを一坪の法
四二二五で割れば、六百五十八坪九分八厘と
知る也。これを田の法三で割れば、二反一畝
二十八歩九分八厘と知るべし。
※同右のごとく田の長さ三十五間二尺六寸ある時、尺より
下の二尺六寸を六五で割れば三十五間四寸に

なる。また、横十八間四尺ある。四尺ばかりを六五で
割れば十八間六寸になる。また、一寸余りあるを
捨て払うなり。長さ横を左右に置き、かければ
○六百五十八坪四分四厘となるという。
少し右のと違いがあっても、このように置いて
よきなり。見合わせて勘用也。一間より内に
尺寸あるは六五で割って少し残りがあれば捨てて
よし。また、少し足らずとも、加え入れて置く也。
事により時により、いずれも見合わせて勘用
なるべし。

4 bu 2 ri 1 mō per 1 jō. Dividing this by the 1-tsubo method

※When the field length is 35 ken 2 shaku 6 sun as in the above case,
dividing the 2 shaku 6 sun below the shaku by 65 gives 35 ken 4 sun.

Also, there is a width of 18 ken 4 shaku. Dividing the approximately 4 shaku by 65
gives 18 ken 6 sun. Also, any remaining 1 sun or so
should be discarded. Place the length and width on the left and right, and multiplying gives
○658 tsubo 4 bu 4 ri, it is said.
Even if there is a slight difference from the right method, it is good to
proceed in this manner. Use judgment by comparison. When there are
shaku and sun within 1 ken, divide by 65, and if there is a small remainder, it is good to
discard it. Also, even if it falls slightly short, add it in.
Depending on the circumstances and timing, in all cases, use judgment
by comparison as appropriate.
