当村ニ石切稼之者壱人茂無御座候
右者入念一々取調仕候所少茂相違
無御座候若此上茂不吟味成儀有之
後日及御聞被成下候ハヽ其元早速
御注進可被成候其段御調上如何様之
御咎筋被　仰付候共少茂御恨
無御座候為後日連印仍而如件

差し出し申し上げる一札の件

当村には石切稼ぎの者は一人もおりません。
右の件につきましては、入念に一人一人取り調べいたしましたところ、少しも相違ございません。もしこの上でも不審な件がございまして、後日お耳に入れられることがございましたら、その元（発見者）は早速ご注進くださいますよう。その段階でのお調べの上、いかなるお咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しもお恨み申し上げることはございません。後日のため連名で押印いたします。よって件の如し。

Regarding the Written Pledge We Submit

There is not a single person engaged in stone-cutting work in our village.
Concerning this matter, we have carefully investigated each and every person, and there is not the slightest discrepancy. Should there be any suspicious matters hereafter that come to your attention at a later date, we request that the informant immediately report it to you. At that stage, after your investigation, whatever punishment may be imposed upon us, we shall harbor not the slightest resentment. We affix our seals jointly for future reference. Thus it is as stated.
