先だって相済み申し候間、向後取替の儀、度々相伺わず、
双方申し合わせ次第に致すべきでしょうか。

一、右御簾中并びに誠姫殿・淑姫殿へは、取替の儀、先ず
その儀に及ばざる旨、先だって仰せ聞かされ候。この度、御礼申し上げ候以後、
拙者并びに於義丸より取替致すべきことにございましょうか。

この儀、以来のことは、刑部卿殿の家老と申し談じ、右衛門督殿の
家老へも相談し、申し合わせ次第に致されるべきこと。

一、一条関白殿・同太閤殿へ、於義丸方より御取替致すべきことに
ございます。向後、拙者方よりも取替致すべきことでしょうか。

Item: Regarding the ladies behind the blinds (御簾中), as well as Lady Makihime and Lady Yoshihime — it was previously conveyed that there would be no need for gift exchanges with them. After the formal congratulations have been presented on this occasion, should O-Yoshimaru and our household make gift exchanges with these ladies?

Regarding this matter and future occasions, consult with the house elders (karō) of Gyōbukyō-dono's household and also with those of Uemon-no-kami-dono's household, and proceed as mutually agreed.
