英語訳
From the Dainagon-sama: five rolls of chirimen (figured crepe silk), one kind of o-sakana (ceremonial food offering), and one box containing a handmade dog toy (o-teasobi-zukuri inu) crafted by his own hand — all received as gifts.
From Manjirō-sama: one box of fresh sea bream (sōdai), and additionally one box of o-teasobi dolls (toy dolls) received as gifts. From O-heya-sama:
seven decorative flower paper bags received as gifts.
Note: No courtesy visit (o-rei) was made from Munenori-sama's side.
Item: Third day of the eleventh month. From the Hitotsubashi [household],
the six o-koshō (pages) and o-kinshū (close attendants) appointed to serve O-Yoshimaru-sama
were commanded to have an audience (o-mimai) with Munenori-sama, after which it was announced that they would each receive a stipend of 200 bales of rice (go-gōryoku-mai).
This was conveyed by the house elder (o-karō) Sakai Geki (Tomotaka). Regarding the matter of seating precedence, they were assigned a rank equivalent to nagabakama-kaku [formal long-hakama rank], placed after the new-ban-gashira [captains of the new guard], as announced by the o-yōnin (chief administrator).
Item: The same day, within the Tokiwabashi mansion:
As the construction (o-fushin) of O-Yoshimaru-sama's private chamber had been completed, a roof-raising ceremony (munage) was held. In celebration of this occasion,
Munenori-sama sent to O-Yoshimaru-sama — through the messenger of the o-soba-monogashira (side-chamberlain captain) — one box of fresh sea bream and one set of lacquered food boxes (gyōki).
Item: Seventh day of the same month.
Regarding the arrangements for the escort procession (o-tomo-mawari) at the time of O-Yoshimaru-sama's transfer of residence, an inquiry document (o-ukagai-sho) was submitted from the Hitotsubashi [household], and, having received instructions in response, the o-yōnin (chief administrators) Ishikawa Magotarō and
Takabayashi Yahei sent word as follows [from the left, i.e., below].
