英語訳
A short saké-ceremony song (ko-utai) is commanded [to be performed by the performers].
With the above concluded, the formal three-round saké ceremony (shiki-sankon) is brought to a close, and the ceremonial shichi-go-san (七五三) banquet is served (however, due to Lord Ogimaru's young age, the shichi-go-san banquet is canceled).
Thereafter, the formal meal (three soups, nine dishes) is partaken of.
Note: During the above ceremony, the Household Elder takes up position in the southern veranda anteroom (o-tsugi no minami no enbō), wearing long formal hakama.
The Hitotsubashi household's Elder, Lord Itami Hyōgono-kami, also comes forward to the seat above the above-mentioned position.
The above ceremony is concluded.
Lord Ogimaru retires to his private chambers and changes into short formal hakama (o-han-bakama), then proceeds to the front audience hall (o-shoin) accompanied by Lord Munenori (the sliding doors within the audience hall are opened). He has a formal meeting with family members of the same clan (go-dōsei-sama) and guests.
Once again, a banquet is held.
Item: On the same day, in connection with the above—
In order for Lord Ogimaru to offer his congratulations, through the Household Elder Honda Yagara (Masa-■) as envoy, one box of fresh sea bream each is presented to Lord Tokugawa Keibukyo (Munetada) and to his consort (go-renjū-sama). From Lord Keibukyo and his consort as well, through their envoy Kōno Yaichizaemon, one box of fresh sea bream each is presented to Lord Ogimaru in return.
Note: After the transfer of residence, in order to inquire daily after Lord Keibukyo's health and wellbeing, letters of accompaniment (o-tsuke tegami) were to be sent each day from the Chamberlains to the Hitotsubashi Chamberlains; however, details are unclear.
Item: On the same day, in the front sitting room—
To Lord Ogimaru, the Household Elder, Middle Elder, Chamberlain, Side Officials, Personal Guard, and inner [ladies-in-waiting and others]— (continues on next page)
