延享元年甲子（この年、寛保四年二月二十九日に改元）
一、正月二十三日、
小五郎様は年始御祝儀のため、一橋御屋形より御本丸へ御登城。
但し、右の節の御献上物・御拝領物はあるはずであるが、この後、一橋御屋形が焼失したため、その節の御記録類が不詳につき、記さず。
一、五月二十三日、
小五郎様は一橋御屋形より初めて西丸へ入られ、
右大将様・大納言様へ御対顔。その節、
右大将様より、御刀（相州廣次、代金十枚）一腰を御拝領。

Enkyō 1st year, Kinoe-Ne [1744] (This year, the era name was changed on the 29th day of the 2nd month from Kampō 4th year.)
1. On the 23rd day of the 1st month,
Lord Kōgorō proceeded to the Hon-maru [the Shōgun's main keep] from the Hitotsubashi residence for the New Year's congratulatory visit (nenshi no shūgi).
Note: There should have been gifts presented and gifts received on this occasion; however, as the Hitotsubashi residence subsequently burned down, the records from that time are unclear and are therefore not recorded here.
1. On the 23rd day of the 5th month,
Lord Kōgorō, for the first time, entered the Nishi-maru [the Western Keep] from the Hitotsubashi residence,
and had a formal audience (o-taigan) with the Udaishō-sama [the Lord of the Right] and the Dainagon-sama. On this occasion,
From the Udaishō-sama: one sword (Sōshū Hiroji, valued at 10 gold pieces) was received as a gift.
