英語訳
In the outer anteroom, the resident senior guard (o-rusuikin-toshiyori) Lord Niwa Ōmi-no-kami (Nagatō) was in attendance, and one senior house-elder (okaro), Sakai Geki (Tomotaka), was summoned. They were informed that, on the occasion of Lord Yoshimaru's visit that day, gifts (three rolls of saya silk each) had been bestowed by the Ōgosho-sama and the Dainagon-sama.
Thereafter, the following individuals were summoned together: the household administrators (go-yōnin) Tsuneoka Anzaemon (Yoshihisa) and Amataka Kazuma (Tomoyoshi); the personal guard unit commander (o-soba mono-gashira) Suzuki Jūzaemon; personal attendants (o-tsuki) Uehara Kyūzō, Iwamoto Kinai (Masayoshi), and Iizuka Gohyōe (Hōgan); the resident guard (o-rusui) Ōtani Ichizaemon (Yoshitsugu); the messenger officer (o-tsukaiban-kaku) Tsuda Tōzaemon (Naritaka); the pages (o-koshō) Murakami Udayū (Hisayoshi) and Ōseki Shōshichi (Naotomo); and the physician (hi-ishi) Mashimo Sōen (Kō). All were informed by Lord Ōmi-no-kami that, for the same reason as above, they were each to receive two rolls of saya silk. After this announcement, they were served a formal meal (two soups, five dishes) and confections.
Note: Prior to their departure, sake and clear soup (o-suimono) were also served.
The following attended as far as the Ohirobiki (the inner gate area): the escort inspector (o-tomo metsuke) Ōtani Magodayū (Yoshikane); the palanquin attendant (o-kago-tsuki) Inoko Gondayū (Kazukami); the personal guard (o-temawari) Tsuchiya Sōzaemon (Sadayuki); the Ohirobiki supply officer (o-hirobiki go-yōtashi) Arisawa Kansuke (■Ei); the tea master (o-chadō) Iwasa Zuiun; the foot-inspector (o-kachi metsuke) Takahashi Kichibei (Masayoshi); and the resident guard subordinate (o-rusui shitayaku) Nishikawa Yohei (Shige■). From there, in the guest reception room outside the Ohirobiki gate, they were served a meal and confections.
Three carriers of the armored box (hasami-bako), two sandal-bearers (o-zōri tori), one umbrella-bearer, six palanquin-bearers (o-kago no mono), two carriers of the tea and lunchbox (o-cha bentō mochi), and one carrier of the sun and rain cover — all attended to the same location.
Beyond these, all remaining members of the general escort retinue, down to the most junior, received two loads of lacquered food boxes (gyōki).
