現代語訳

秋江離別難しと道う莫れ　舟船明日是れ長安
呉姫緩舞して君を留めて酔わしむ　随意なれ青楓白露の寒

（割書：旅立ちが延び延びになっているので二度も三度も別れることを「重別」というのである）

（割書：前回から別れを言い合わせてこの頃までは秋江の風情を見合わせていたから急には別れはしまいと言ったのを頼みにしていたが、もう明日は別れねばならぬ。そう言うな。なぜなれば明日は舟に乗り長安へ行かれること、今夜はせめてのことにゆるりと妓女に舞などを舞わせて酒盛りをするのだ。楽しんでくださいよ。この離別の川端の青楓の木陰の寒くとも随意にままよやれと思い、名残を惜しみ酒盛りをすることである）

Do not say that autumn river partings are difficult,
Tomorrow the boat will indeed head to Chang'an.
Let the Wu songstresses dance slowly to detain you and make you drunk,
Let it be as you will - the cold of green maples and white dew.

(Marginal note: Because the departure has been postponed repeatedly, parting two or three times is called "repeated parting.")

(Marginal note: Since our previous farewell, we have been enjoying the autumn river scenery together until now, so I had relied on the idea that we wouldn't part hastily. But tomorrow we must indeed separate. Don't speak of it! Because tomorrow you will board the boat and go to Chang'an, tonight let us at least leisurely have the courtesans dance and hold a drinking party. Please enjoy yourself! Even if it's cold under the shade of the green maples by this parting riverside, let it be as fate wills - let us cherish these final moments and hold our drinking party.)
