おさまつたれは。なんのきづかいもなく。りやうたいあたりで。むまにまくさかへば。

現代語訳

其の二

日落ちて轅門に鼓角鳴る
千群面縛して蕃城を出づ
兵を洗いて魚海に雲陣を迎え
馬に秣かいて龍堆に月営を照らす

【読み下し】
日落ちてえんもん、鼓角鳴る。千群面縛して、蕃城を出づ。兵を洗いて魚海、雲陣を迎え。馬に秣かいて龍堆、月営を照らす。

【解説】
轅門は陣営の門である。日暮れ時分には、凱陣を、太鼓を打って帰る。蛮族の方の降参の者どもは、手前で縄を括り、蕃城より引き出されている。

今日めでたく、魚海あたりへ来た時分、雲雨がこちらの陣を迎えるようにして下って来たが、あれは兵を洗う瑞雨と見えた。蛮族の戦が治まったれば、何の気遣いもなく、龍堆あたりで馬に秣かえば、月が営を照らすということである。詳しくは国字解を見るべし。

The Second Poem

The sun sets as drums and horns sound at the camp gate
Thousands bound face-to-face emerge from the barbarian city
Washing soldiers, clouds welcome the formation at Fish Sea
Feeding horses at Dragon Mound, the moon illuminates the camp

【Reading】
The sun sets at the camp gate, drums and horns sound. Thousands bound face-to-face emerge from the barbarian city. Washing soldiers at Fish Sea, clouds welcome the formation. Feeding horses at Dragon Mound, the moon illuminates the camp.

【Commentary】
The camp gate (enmon) is the entrance to the military encampment. At evening time, they return from the victorious battle beating drums. The surrendering barbarian captives have their hands tied in front and are being led out from the barbarian city.

Today, fortunately, when they arrived at the Fish Sea area, clouds and rain came down as if welcoming our formation - this appeared to be auspicious rain for cleansing the soldiers. Since the barbarian war has ended, there are no worries, and when feeding the horses around Dragon Mound, the moon shines upon the camp. For details, one should consult the vernacular commentary.
