蘇館書記に贈る　　　杜審言

君が書記として本来翩々たることを知る
戎に従いて朔辺に赴くを許さるるが為に
紅粉楼中応に日を計うべし
燕支山下年を経ること莫れ

私が知っているところでは、あなたは元来風采翩々として優れており、誰も及ぶ者がない。今度書記役に任命されるのももっともである。大将のために許されて従軍し、朔辺の夷狄の地へ行かれることになった。あなたの御内室は指折り数えて帰りを待たれていることであろう。必ず燕支山あたりに長居することがないようにしてください。あの方面の蛮族も陽の限りがあることですから、早く帰られよ、必ず長居するなということです。しかし私が言っても聞くはずがないでしょうから、そこで内気を出して言っているのは面白いことです。箋注に詳しい。

Even the barbarians in that region have their limitations with the daylight hours, so return quickly and do not stay long.
