現代語訳

重ねて鄭錬に贈る　杜甫

鄭子将に行かんとし、使臣を罷む
囊に一物の尊親に献ずる無し
江山路遠く、羈離の日
裘馬誰か為らん、感激の人

この人は故郷へ行こうとして官を辞めて行かれるが、潔好な人ゆえに民を貪らず、一銭の蓄えもなく、故郷の親たちへの土産もない。これから故郷へ帰る道も遠く、江山を越えて行くことだ。裘馬は風雅の人、都には風雅な人も大分あるが、この人の貧窮で潔白なるを感激し哀れんで遣るものもないのは、全くやむを得ないことかな。

羈離とは旅へ赴く道すがらの事なり。詳しくは唐詩講釈にあり。

英語訳

Again Presented to Zheng Lian by Du Fu

Master Zheng is about to depart, resigning from his official position
In his bag there is not one thing to offer to his honored parents
The rivers and mountains make the road long, days of separation and travel
Who will be the one with fine robes and horses to help this man of integrity?

This person is about to go to his hometown and resign from office to depart. Because he is a person of integrity, he did not exploit the people and has not a single coin saved, nor any gifts for his parents in his hometown. From here, the road back to his hometown is also far, crossing rivers and mountains. "Qiuma" refers to a person of refinement. In the capital there are quite a few refined people, but none who are moved by this person's poverty and integrity to pity and help him - this is truly an unavoidable situation.
