A note of supplementary observations from another account:
The ancestor of the Toki clan, lords of Mino Province, was Toki Mino-no-kami Mitsuhira, the son of Iga-no-kami Mitsumoto, who was himself seven generations removed from Minamoto Settsu-no-kami Raikō (Yorimitsu). During the Bunji era (1185–1190), Mitsuhira was appointed by (Minamoto no) Yoritomo as the Military Governor (shugo) of Mino Province and took up residence there. Five generations after Mitsuhira, Toki Hōki-no-kami Yorikiyo governed Mino Province in the time of (Ashikaga) Takauji. Yorikiyo's eldest son was Daizennosuke Yoriyasu; his second son was Akechi Shimotsuke-no-kami Yorikane; his third son was Ibi Dewa-no-kami Yorio; and his fourth son was Toki Mino-no-kami Yoritada — and all of them were succeeded by their descendants. In the time of Toki Mino-no-jirō Noritada (Noritada), six generations removed from Yoritada, neighboring provinces invaded Mino. At this time, the power and authority of Toki's retainer Saitō Yamashiro-no-kami Ryūki grew mighty, and everyone from the Toki clan members to the general populace submitted to Ryūki. Yamashiro-no-kami took Buddhist vows and came to be called Dōsan. His son Yamashiro-no-kami Yoshitatsu (Yoshiryū) succeeded him and governed Mino Province. Yamashiro-no-kami Yoshitatsu despised his eldest son, Uhyōe-no-taifu Tatsuoki, and (favored) his second son Utano-suke Tatsushige and his third son...
