人を河源に使いするを送る
故人が役目を帯びて辺境の州に向かう
一匹の馬で今朝少しも留まることなく出発した
長い道のりと関所や山々をいつの日に踏破するのか
満堂に響く糸竹の音も君のために憂いに変わる
《解説：黄河の河上に使者として行くのである。その方は今、御上からの使者となって辺州河源の方へ行かれるが、大勢の供回りを連れるでもなく、御用のことゆえ一匹の馬に乗って急いで行かれる。その方の行かれる先は長路の長い道中で、特に難所を通ることゆえ、いつ先に着くということもなく、毎日毎日行くのであろうと思えば、何を餞別にしようかと思い、この座敷の中で音楽をしても面白くない。そちらの行かれる先を想像してみれば、満堂糸竹君がために憂う》【挿絵】

[Commentary: He goes as an envoy to the upper reaches of the Yellow River. This person now becomes an envoy from His Majesty and goes toward the border province of Heyuan. Rather than taking a large retinue, because it is official business, he rides on a single horse and departs in haste. The destination he travels to is a long journey on a long road, and particularly because he must pass through difficult terrain, there is no telling when he will arrive, and he will likely travel day after day. Thinking of what to give as a farewell gift, even playing music in this room would not be enjoyable.
