【詩題】魏十六が蘇州に帰るのを送る
秋の夜がしんしんと更けてここで君を送る
陰虫が切々と鳴いて聞くに堪えない
帰る舟は明日毘陵の道を行く
首を回らせば姑蘇にはただ白雲があるのみ【挿絵】
《解説：秋の夜がしんしんと更けていく物寂しい時分に、あなたをお送りする。別れというものはただでさえ悲しいのに、陰虫が切々と絶えず鳴いて、いよいよ物悲しく聞くに堪えがたい。明日は帰るといって舟に乗り、毘陵の道をはるかに行かれるならば、恋しく思って首を回らして見ても、後ろ姿も見えず、ただ姑蘇山のあたりに白雲のみがぼんやりと漂って、我が憂いを増すのであろうと、明朝別れる時のことを思いやるのである》

【Poem Title】Seeing Off Wei the Sixteenth as He Returns to Suzhou
On this autumn night, deep and silent, I see you off here,
The insects in shadow chirp mournfully—unbearable to hear.
Tomorrow your returning boat will take the Piling road,
When I turn my head back, only white clouds will remain over Gusu.【Illustration】
《Commentary: In the lonely time when the autumn night grows deep and silent, I see you off. Parting is sad enough as it is, but the insects chirp mournfully without cease, making it increasingly sorrowful and unbearable to hear. Tomorrow, saying you will return, you will board a boat and travel far along the Piling road. When you are gone, I will turn my head back in longing, but your figure will no longer be visible—only white clouds will drift vaguely around Mount Gusu, likely increasing my melancholy. This expresses the poet's imagining of the moment of parting tomorrow morning.》
