《割書：此宿したる山はたかきゆへに浮雲（ふうん）もやうやく半腹（はんふく）をめぐりて山と斉（ひと）しからず山もこんもりとして茂（しけり）てあればどこ｜がとこともしれず方角（ほうがく）のわかちもなくのぞみうたゝまよふありあけの月のすこし今までみへたと思ふたに｜はやとんで千樹（せんしゆ）の裏（うち）にかくれて見へず秋の空の漢河（あまのがは）は此方とはへだてゝ草木のしけりたる数峰（すほう）｜の西の方にあればとれがどれやら見わかちもないひろい山ではある》

浮雲もこの山と等しくない
山の靄が青々として眺めがますます迷わしい
暁月がしばらく千本の樹々の中を飛ぶ
秋の河が隔てて数峰の西にある
《解説：この宿泊した山は高いので、浮雲もようやく山腹を巡って山と等しくない。山もこんもりと茂っているので、どこがどこともわからず方角の区別もなく、眺めがますます迷わしい。明け方の月が少し今まで見えたと思ったが、早くも飛んで千本の樹の中に隠れて見えなくなった。秋空の天の川はこちらとは隔てて、草木の茂った数峰の西の方にあるので、どれがどれやら見分けもつかない広い山である》

Lodging in the mountains of Shiyi
The floating clouds are not level with this mountain,
Mountain mists, blue-green and dense, make the view ever more bewildering,
The dawn moon briefly flies among a thousand trees,
The autumn river lies separated beyond several peaks to the west.
《Commentary: This mountain where I lodged is high, so the floating clouds only circle around its mid-slopes and are not level with the mountain. The mountain is also thickly forested, so one cannot tell which place is which, there is no distinction of direction, and the view becomes increasingly bewildering. The dawn moon that seemed visible just a moment ago has already flown away and hidden among the thousand trees, no longer visible. The Milky Way in the autumn sky is separated from here, lying to the west of several peaks thick with vegetation, so one cannot distinguish which is which in this vast mountain range.》
