鳯林關裏水東流（ふうりんくはんりみづひがしにながる）白草黄榆六十秋（はくさうくはうゆうろくじつしう）

《割書：鳳林関（ふうりんくはん）あたりはいつも水ひがしにながれてもとより都（みやこ）の地なれどもいつの比（ころ）より｜か白艸（はくさう）黄楡（くはうゆう）のゑびすの地になる事年久しく六十年ほど奪（うば）はれてゐるがどれ〳〵も｜みな君（きみ）の御恩（ごをん）をうけてゐぬものはないがたれでも此地をとりもどさうといふもの｜もなひがざんねんな事じや》【挿絵】

涼州詞（涼州の歌）
鳳林関の里では水が東に流れ、白草と黄榆の地となって六十年の歳月が過ぎた
辺境の将軍たちは皆、主君の恩沢を受けているが、涼州を奪回しようと言う者は誰もいない
《注釈：鳳林関あたりはいつも水が東に流れて、もとより都の領地であったが、いつの頃からか白草や黄榆が生い茂る異民族の地となってしまい、奪われてから六十年ほどになる。将軍たちは皆、君主の御恩を受けていない者はないが、誰もこの地を取り戻そうと言う者もないのは残念なことである》【挿絵】

In Fenglin Pass the water flows eastward, where white grass and yellow elms have grown for sixty autumns
All the border generals receive their lord's favor and grace, yet no one speaks of retaking Liangzhou
《Commentary: Around Fenglin Pass, water always flows eastward, and though this was originally territory of the capital, at some point it became a land of white grass and yellow elms belonging to the barbarians, and it has been about sixty years since it was taken from us. All the generals receive the lord's imperial favor without exception, but it is regrettable that none of them speaks of retaking this territory》【Illustration】
