嘉陵駅にて
悠々として風が旗を翻らせ山川を巡り行く
山の駅は霧深く雨が煙となる
嘉陵への道半ばにして頭はすでに白く
蜀門の西、さらに青天に向かって上る
《注釈：悠々と果てしもない道中、特に持参する旗などを風が吹きなびかせ、山川の険しい所を巡り行く道すがらの風景は、山地の駅路も霧深く曇り、今まで降った雨も煙のようになって、どこがどこやら見分けもならない。どこまでもこのような所を通るので、髪も白くなるほど疲れたが、今通る嘉陵は道半ばで、西の方、蜀門まではどれほどあるやら知れない遠いところである》

At Jialing Station
Leisurely the wind unfurls banners around mountains and rivers
The mountain station is misty, rain becomes smoke
Halfway on the road to Jialing, my head is already white
West of Shu Gate, I ascend further toward the blue sky
《Commentary: On this endless leisurely journey, particularly as the wind blows and unfurls the banners we carry, the scenery along the way as we wind through the treacherous places of mountains and rivers shows mountain stations shrouded in mist and clouds, with the rain that has been falling becoming like smoke, making it impossible to distinguish one place from another. Traveling through such places continuously, I have grown weary enough that my hair has turned white, but Jialing through which I now pass is only halfway on the journey - who knows how far it still is to Shu Gate in the west, such a distant place it is》
