登楼
槐柳蕭疎として郡城を繞り、夜山雨を添えて江声と作る
秋風南陌に車馬無く、独り高楼に上りて故国の情
《注釈：秋の時分なので槐や柳などの葉も落ち、蕭疎として物寂しく郡城を取り囲んでいる。普段でさえ川の音が高いのに、雨が降ったので一層声も高く物すごい。この秋の時分に、訪う者があれば語って慰めようが、南陌あたりも車馬なく寂しい。我独り楼上へ上って寂しいにつけては、故郷のことを思い出してやるせない》【挿絵】

Ascending the Tower
Sparse sophora and willows encircle the prefectural city, night adds mountain rain to create river sounds
In autumn wind the southern roads have no carriages or horses, alone I ascend the high tower with feelings for my homeland
《Commentary: Since it is autumn time, the leaves of sophora and willows have fallen, sparsely and desolately surrounding the prefectural city. Even normally the river's sound is loud, but because rain has fallen, the voice is even higher and awesome. In this autumn season, if there were visitors I could speak with them for comfort, but around the southern roads there are no carriages or horses—so lonely. I alone ascend to the top of the tower, and in my loneliness I recall my homeland and feel unbearable melancholy》【Illustration】
