《割書：干将（かんしやう）莫邪（ばくや）が二／振（ふり）の霊剣（れいけん）が｜此／延津（ゑんしん）にしづんだといふ事じや｜が今この剣の精霊（せいれい）をみやう｜とおもへども見ることのならぬ｜この津水（しんすい）のうちへ一度さつて｜より剣はみへずたゞ水のみはて｜しもなくながれゆくむなしく｜千載（せんざい）ののちの世までも凌霜（しやうさう）｜のするどきやき刃の色のみを余｜して長くこのすみたゝへたる潭（たん）｜水ともにこの水底（みつそこ）にあつて白｜日にえいじてすさまじく覚ゆる｜のみなか〳〵見る事は｜ ならぬほどの｜ 名剣で｜ ある》

延平剣潭に題す 欧陽詹
精霊を想像するも見ることは難し
通津一度去りて水漫々たり
空しく千載の霜を凌ぐ色を余して
長く澄潭と白日寒し
《注釈：干将・莫邪の二振りの霊剣がこの延津に沈んだということであるが、今この剣の精霊を見ようと思っても見ることができない。この津の水の中へ一度去ってより剣は見えず、ただ水のみが果てしもなく流れゆく。空しく千年の後の世まで霜を凌ぐ鋭利な焼き刃の色のみを残して、長くこの澄み湛えた潭水と共にこの水底にあって、白日に映じて凄まじく覚えるのみ。なかなか見ることはならないほどの名剣である》

Though I imagine the spirit, it is difficult to see
The ferry crossing once departed, water spreads endlessly
Vainly leaving behind the frost-defying color for a thousand years
Long together with the clear pool, the white sun is cold
《Commentary: It is said that the two spiritual swords of Ganjiang and Moye sank in this Yanjin. Now, though I wish to see the spirit of these swords, I cannot see them. Since they once went into the water of this crossing, the swords are no longer visible - only the water flows endlessly. Vainly leaving behind only the color of the sharp tempered blade that defies frost for a thousand years hence, they remain long in the bottom of this water together with the clear pooled water, reflecting in the white sun with an eerie feeling. These are truly famous swords that cannot easily be seen》
