《割書：武帝（ぶてい）のとき青雀（せいじやく）か来て宮殿（きうでん）の上にのみ止（とま）るを東方朔（とうほうさく）に問（とふ）たればおつつけ西王母（せいわうほ）が来ると答（こた）ふときに｜王母きたりて武帝に対話（たいわ）し帰（かへ）るさに三年の後（のち）又来んと云て返（かへつ）たが竟（つい）にこなんだ其（その）ことをいひすて｜てかねて仙人を好（すく）ことを謗（そしり）宮女（きうじよ）怨（えん）をいふ青雀（せいじやく）は西へとひ去（さり）王母ふたゝひ来らずこうしたことを君（きみ）は｜まことゝ思召て不断（ふだん）集霊台（しゆれいたい）に上て待（また）れた侍臣（じしん）に渇（かわき）の病（やまひ）をしてゐる相如（しやうしよ）が御／側（そは）ちかくゐるから仙薬（せんやく）｜をねる金茎（きんきやう）の露（つゆ）を一はいのませて功（こう）をためしの上／信仰（しんこう）をなさるればよいにさうしたことをもせずたゞ｜しるしもない事を信（しん）ずる此やうなことにかゝつて物忌（ものいみ）のみして奥（おく）むきへも入／給（たま）はぬは甚（はなはた）おろかな天子じや》

漢宮詞 李商隠
青雀西に飛び去って、ついに帰らず
君王は常に集霊台にいらっしゃる
侍臣の中で最も相如の渇病を患う者がいるのに
金茎の露を一杯も賜らない
《注釈：武帝の時代、青雀が来て宮殿の上にだけ止まるのを東方朔に尋ねたところ、間もなく西王母が来ると答えた。その時に王母がやって来て武帝と対話し、帰る際に三年後にまた来ると言って帰ったが、ついに来なかった。そのことを言い捨てて、かねてから仙人を好むことを非難し、宮女が怨みを言う。青雀は西へ飛び去り、王母は再び来ない。こうしたことを君は本当のことと思し召して、いつも集霊台に上って待っていらっしゃった。侍臣に渇病を患っている相如がお側近くにいるのだから、仙薬を練る金茎の露を一杯飲ませて効果を試した上で信仰をなさればよいのに、そうしたこともせず、ただしるしもないことを信じる。このようなことにかかって物忌みばかりして奥向きへもお入りにならないのは、甚だ愚かな天子である》

Han Palace Poem by Li Shangyin
The blue bird flew west and never returned
The sovereign constantly remains at the Jiling Pavilion
Among the court ministers, Xiangru suffers most from the thirst disease
Yet not even one cup of dew from the golden stem is bestowed
Commentary: During Emperor Wu's time, when a blue bird came and perched only on top of the palace, he asked Dongfang Shuo about it, who answered that the Queen Mother of the West would soon come. At that time, the Queen Mother came and conversed with Emperor Wu, and when leaving, said she would come again in three years, but she never came. Abandoning this matter and criticizing his longtime fondness for immortals, the palace ladies voice their resentment. The blue bird flew away to the west, and the Queen Mother never came again. The sovereign believed these things to be true and constantly climbed the Jiling Pavilion to wait. Among the court ministers, there is Xiangru who suffers from the thirst disease close by his side, so it would be good if he had him drink a cup of dew from the golden stem that produces immortal medicine to test its efficacy before practicing his faith. Yet he does not do such things, but merely believes in things without proof. Being occupied with such matters, only performing purification rituals and not even entering the inner palace quarters - this is indeed a very foolish emperor.
