秋葉風吹黃颯々（しうようかぜふいてくわうさつ〳〵）晴雲日照白鱗々（せいうんひてらしてはくりん〳〵）

《割書：登高（とうこう）の節（せつ）ゆへこれも登高の作なり上てみれば木の葉も風にふかれ黄（き）ばみてさつ〳〵とひるがえり｜空（そら）もはれわたり日てらしてわづかのこりたる白雲（はくうん）がりん〳〵ときら〳〵見ゆる山より下り来れはふもと｜に百姓の子どもの茱萸（しゆゆ）をうる女が居るから何と今日は大ぜい上たであらふか幾（いく）人ほど酒宴（しゆえん）をして｜酔（ゑふ）たぞと問ふ大かた我ばかりでもあるまいどれ〳〵とてもみなゑふたであらふとなり》
現代語訳
九日の宴
張諤
秋の葉は風に吹かれて黄色くさらさらと舞い散り
晴れた雲間から日が差して白い雲がきらきらと光っている
帰って来ると茱萸を売る女に尋ねることができた
「今日登高して酔った人は何人ほどいましたか」
《解説：重陽の節句なので、これも登高の作である。高い所に上って見れば、木の葉も風に吹かれて黄ばみ、さらさらとひるがえり、空も晴れ渡り、日が照らして僅かに残った白雲がきらきらと光って見える。山から下りて来ると、麓に百姓の子供で茱萸を売る女がいるので、「何と、今日は大勢上ったのでしょうか。何人ほど酒宴をして酔ったでしょうか」と問う。おおかた私ばかりでもあるまい、皆それぞれ酔ったのであろう、ということである》

Autumn leaves blown by wind turn yellow, rustling softly
Clear clouds illuminated by sun shine like white scales
Returning home, I was able to ask the woman selling dogwood:
"How many people climbed high today and became intoxicated?"
《Commentary: Since this is the Double Ninth Festival, this too is a work about climbing heights. Looking up from a high place, the tree leaves are blown by wind, turning yellow and fluttering rustlingly. The sky is clear and bright, with sunlight illuminating the few remaining white clouds that sparkle brilliantly. Coming down from the mountain, there is a peasant girl selling dogwood at the foot of the mountain, so I ask her: "Well now, many people must have climbed up today. How many held banquets and became drunk?" Most likely it was not just myself - everyone must have gotten drunk in their own way.》
