《割書：秋のもなかのことなれば｜棠（なし）の葉（は）も霜（しも）にそまり｜紅葉（こうえう）して見ゆる此じ｜ぶんわが故郷（こきやう）荊州（けいしう）の方｜を東（ひかし）にのぞみ見れば｜どこまでも村里（そんり）も見へ｜ずたゞ渺（びやう）〳〵と草ばかり｜はへしげり空（そら）とひとつ｜にみゆる此やうなものす｜ごひ旅（たび）に宿（しゆく）するが誰（たれ）も｜わが孤官（こくわん）の身となつて｜天のはてまでも来て｜さま〳〵の愁（ういひ）【うれひヵ】をしつて憐（あはれ）｜みてくれるものもある｜まいことに雨（あめ）も少々ふり｜て古駅（こえき）の中に瀟（しやう）〳〵と｜もの淋（さび）しく難儀（なんぎ）にあふこ｜とを知（しつ）てあはれみて｜くれるものもない》

疎陂駅に宿す
王周
秋が棠梨を染めて葉は半ば紅くなり
荊州を東に望めば草が空まで平らかなり
誰が知ろうか孤独な官吏の天涯での心を
微雨が瀟々と降る古い駅舎の中で
《解説：秋の真ん中のことなので、梨の葉も霜に染まり紅葉して見える。この時、わが故郷荆州の方を東に望み見れば、どこまでも村里も見えず、ただ遥か遠くまで草ばかりが生い茂り、空と一つに見える。このような物寂しい旅に宿するが、誰もわが孤独な官吏の身となって天の果てまでも来て、さまざまな憂いを知って憐れんでくれる者もない。その上雨も少々降って、古い駅舎の中で瀟々ともの寂しく、難儀に遭うことを知って憐れんでくれる者もない》

《Commentary: Since it is the middle of autumn, the pear leaves are also touched by frost and appear crimson with autumn colors. At this time, when I look eastward toward my hometown of Jingzhou, I cannot see any villages anywhere—only grass growing thick and vast, appearing to merge with the sky. Lodging on such a desolate journey, there is no one who knows that I have become a lonely official who has come to the ends of heaven and who would pity me for my various sorrows. Moreover, with light rain falling, there is no one in this ancient station who knows the loneliness and hardships I face in this quietly drizzling place and would show me compassion》
