現代語訳
蛇鱗は小腕の悲しさについに多勢に食い伏せられると、化け物どもは口々に「これからはこの小化けめをなぶり食いにするべきか、それとも御館を敵と狙う奴なれば、今より洞穴へ引きずって行き、御館の心のままに返り討ちにさせようか」と言うのを聞いて、蛇鱗は無念の歯噛みをした。その御館の名は何かと尋ねれば「二つ岩の主判先生、我々に言いつけて汝の来るのを知ってこのように謀った。また出丹も先立って御館のお手食いにしたれば、一匹残らず汝も観念せよ」と。

今からあと〔不明な部分〕たるところに、後ろの辻堂がひしめく音と見えたが、○とても凄まじい腕を差し延べて、かの化け物どもを投げ散らしたので、皆々肝をつぶした。

Due to his small stature and weakness, Jarin was finally overwhelmed and pinned down by the many enemies. The monsters then discussed among themselves: "Should we torment this little monster by eating him slowly, or since he's one who targets our master as an enemy, should we drag him to the cave now and let our master deal with him as he pleases?" Hearing this, Jarin gnashed his teeth in frustration. When he asked what their master's name was, they replied: "The Master Judge of Twin Rocks. He instructed us, knowing of your arrival, and planned this trap. Also, since Shuttan was already made into food for our master earlier, you too should resign yourself to your fate, not a single one will be spared."

Just then, from behind what appeared to be the sound of commotion from the roadside shrine, someone extended a tremendously powerful arm and scattered those monsters, causing them all to be terrified.
