○冬に南風が吹けば二、三日の間に必ず雪が降る。風が西南から転じて西北風になれば、ますます大雪になる。
○大風が吹こうとする時は、多くの鳥が空で鳴いて舞い飛び、魚の群れが水面で跳ね踊り、星が動き、月や太陽に暈がかかって、雲が切れ切れになって飛ぶ。その色は白く黄色で、集まったり散ったりすることが定まらない。雲が太陽を巡り、雲の足が黄色で、移動が早い。
○正月、二月に北風が吹けば必ず雨が降るものである。
○七月十五日の前後は必ず北風が長く吹く。これを俗に「盆北」と言う。
○夏秋の頃、東風が長く吹く。これを「ひかたごち」と言い、数十日も吹く。

家伝の斬鬼丹の処方
　　黄丹《よく摺って三度水で精製する》　　独頭の大蒜《摺って泥のようにする》
右を等分、その内黄丹を少し多く加え、五月五日の正午時に調合し、何人もかかって丸薬にする。発作の日の午前二時頃に流水を汲んで東向きに座して服用すべし。
　○右の代用として用いる処方
大蒜三個　胡椒《七粒》　百草霜（鍋墨）《三分》
右を搗き合わせて一つの丸薬とし、男は左、女は右の手の曲沢のツボに付けて縛っておくべし。

○When a south wind blows in winter, snow will surely fall within two to three days. When the wind shifts from southwest to northwest, it becomes even heavier.
○When a great wind is about to blow, many birds cry and flutter in the sky, schools of fish leap on the water surface, stars move, and halos appear around the moon and sun. Clouds become fragmented and fly about, their color white and yellow, gathering and scattering irregularly. Clouds circle the sun, and the edges of clouds are yellow and move quickly.
○When north winds blow in the first and second months, rain will surely follow.
○Around the 15th day of the seventh month, north winds inevitably blow for a long time. This is commonly called "Bon-kita" (Bon Festival north wind).
○In summer and autumn, east winds blow for long periods. This is called "hikatagochi" and can blow for dozens of days.

　○Medicine for cutting off malaria (intermittent fever)
Family tradition: Zanki (Demon-slaying) pill formula
　　Yellow lead oxide《grind well and purify three times with water》　　Single-bulb garlic《grind to a mud-like consistency》
Mix the above in equal parts, adding slightly more yellow lead oxide. Compound at noon on the 5th day of the 5th month, with several people working together to form pills. On the day of fever, at the fifth watch (around 2 AM), draw flowing water, sit facing east, and take the medicine.
　○Alternative formula to use instead of the above:
Three garlic bulbs, seven peppercorns, three parts soot from cooking pots
Pound these together into one pill. Men should attach it to the Kyokutaku acupoint on the left hand, women on the right hand, and tie it in place.

On the morning of the fever day, face east and apply to the Hyakue acupoint《at the top of the head on the nose line, five sun inward from the hairline》
