【本文】
島田から二を振って金谷日坂。蕨餅の名物。振袖を着ている女が餅を作っているところ。もっとも食い人も一人、今時。
日坂でも木綿振袖を着るような野暮な娘は一人もなし。また、これに困ったが、どうでも昔物はこんな事を堅く覚えていると、六七十になる婆さんを頼み、振袖を着せて連れて来て間に合わせる。

【本文】
日坂にて六を振り、恋人は一の裏目なれば家来の張りが強く、掛川、袋井、見附、浜松、舞坂、新居まで一足飛び。今までにない良い目が出たという所が、前を捲って改めるはず。この役に当たった若衆は美男で、器量が良く、才知明らかなれば、世話がないとまず引き捲って堂々としたり。殿様もこれには御機嫌が良いと見えて、自身お改めなさる。

【Main Text】
From Shimada, rolling a two to reach Kanaya-Nissaka. The specialty is bracken-root mochi. A woman wearing a furisode is making mochi. Most reasonably, there's also one customer, nowadays.
Even in Nissaka, there isn't a single unfashionable girl who would wear a cotton furisode. This was also troublesome, but since old-timers firmly remember such things, they rely on a sixty or seventy-year-old grandmother, dress her in a furisode, and bring her along to make do.

Since such good luck as never before has appeared, they should lift the front and inspect. The young retainer assigned to this duty is handsome, well-featured, and clearly intelligent, so there's no trouble. First, he confidently lifts and rolls up, acting dignified. The lord also seems pleased with this and personally conducts the inspection.
