品参考諸説為好雅者以
国字並写花形示于愛花

富貴で艶やかであり、また幽かな香りを含んでいる。花がその美を集めて諸花に冠たるものであることが知られる。我が恕菴先生はかつて桜品を著し、桜の品類を大いに備えた。しかし桐谷のように単弁と重弁が相交わるものは称呼が
また郷名に係るものもあり、この類は甚だ弁別し難い。
このごろ鈍永子が私を先生の桜品に紹介し、諸説を参考として好雅の者のために
国字を並べ写し花形を示して愛花の
者に示そうとした。名所桜のようなものを上梓に継がせようと、鈍永は
