駒繋桜（こまつなぎざくら）

○怡顔斎が言うには、京都の青蓮院宮の境内に駒留桜（こまとめざくら）というものがある。八重咲きである。
○鈍永が言うには、ここに描写するのは駒繋桜である。中輪で色は大白（純白）、花弁は広く厚い。茎は太く、蕾の時は少し赤みがある。駒留と駒繋は同じ意味で、同一のものであろうか。
山桜（やまざくら）

○怡顔斎が言うには、おおよそ山中に多く見られる。一重咲きで白色、早く開花するものを総称して山桜と呼ぶ。その中にも品種はまた多い。花色には紅白の二種がある。また花がまばらに付くものもあり、密に付くものもある。

Koma-tsunagi-zakura (Horse-tethering Cherry)

○Igansai says: At the grounds of Shoren-in Palace in Kyoto, there is what is called Koma-tome-zakura (Horse-stopping Cherry). It has double petals.
○Tonnei says: What is described here is the Koma-tsunagi cherry. It has medium-sized flowers of pure white color, with broad and thick petals. The stem is thick, and when in bud it has a slight reddish tinge. Koma-tome (horse-stopping) and Koma-tsunagi (horse-tethering) have the same meaning - are they perhaps the same variety?
Yama-zakura (Mountain Cherry)

○Igansai says: Generally abundant in mountainous areas. Those with single petals, white color, and early blooming are collectively called mountain cherry. Among these there are also many varieties. The flower colors include two types: red and white. Some have flowers that bloom sparsely, while others bloom densely.
