雪山桜（ゆきやまざくら）

○鈍永曰中 輪（りん）にして白
色なる事雪のことし
但（たゞ）し花形（くはぎやう）婆桜（うばざくら）に全（まつたく）
おなじ誤（あやまつ）ては婆桜と
まがふもの也

○怡顔斎（いがんさい）曰花白色也
山桜にて大輪也 単弁（ひとへ）
にして反（そり）も抱（かゝへ）もなし花
開（ひらき）て花弁（くはべん）平（たいらか）なり故（ゆへ）に

雪山桜（ゆきやまざくら）
【挿絵】
○鈍永が言うには、中輪で白色であることが雪のようである。
ただし花の形は姥桜（うばざくら）と全く同じである。
間違えると姥桜と見間違えるものである。
一文字（いちもんじ）
【挿絵】
○怡顔斎が言うには、花は白色である。
山桜で大輪である。一重咲きで
反り返りも抱え込みもない。花が
開いて花弁が平らである。ゆえに
一文字というのである。
英語訳
Yuki-yamazakura (Snow Mountain Cherry)

○Ton'ei says: It has medium-sized flowers and is white
in color like snow.
However, the flower shape is exactly
the same as Uba-zakura (Old Woman Cherry).
If one makes a mistake, it could be confused
with Uba-zakura.
Ichimonji (One Character)

○Igan-sai says: The flowers are white in color.
It is a mountain cherry with large flowers. Single-petaled,
with neither curling back nor cupping inward. When the flower
opens, the petals are flat. Therefore
it is called Ichimonji (One Character).
