現代語訳
花の専門家でも区別するのが困難だと言う。江戸桜は茎が長く、咲き始める時は蕾が紅色で、開花すると薄紅色になる。花輪の重なりは厚く、花弁は垂れ下がり、開花時期が遅いという。
江戸法輪寺（えどほうりんじ）

○怡顔斎が言うには、法輪寺に似ているが、とりわけ豊かである。花弁の重なりの厚さは江戸桜より深い。葉もまた厚く、大きくて美しい。これは武蔵国の法輪寺から出た木である。また別に法善寺、泰山府君と（呼ばれるものもある）。
英語訳
Even flower specialists say it is difficult to distinguish. Edo cherry has long stems, with buds that are crimson when beginning to bloom, becoming light pink when they open. The layering of the flower rings is thick, the petals droop, and it blooms late.
Edo-Hōrin-ji

○Igan-sai says: It resembles Hōrin-ji but is especially abundant. The thickness of the petal layering is deeper than that of Edo cherry. The leaves are also thick, large, and beautiful. This is a tree that originated from Hōrin-ji temple in Musashi Province. There are also separately called Hōzen-ji and Taizan-fukun.
