九重桜（こゝのゑざくら）

に同じく八重（やゑ）にして
少し重（かさね）多きものなり
故（ゆへに）九重といふ

浅黄桜（あさぎさくら）

○怡顔斎曰花桐谷の
大（おほき）きさにして尤桐谷と同時
にひらく単弁（ひとへ）白色にて
萼（へた）至（いたつ）て緑色（みどりいろ）也花／真（まことに）
黄（き）にあらず花弁（はなびら）萼（へた）に
映（ゑい）じて青（あを）く見ゆ是則
緑萼（りよくがく）垂糸海棠（すいしかいどう）也（なり）

九重桜（ここのえざくら）

○怡顔斎が言うには、花形は桐谷と同じで八重であるが、少し重なりが多いものである。そのため九重と言う。

浅黄桜（あさぎざくら）
【挿絵】
○怡顔斎が言うには、花は桐谷の大きさで、特に桐谷と同時に咲く。単弁で白色、萼は非常に緑色である。花は真に黄色ではなく、花弁が萼に映えて青く見える。これはすなわち緑萼垂糸海棠である。

英語訳

Kokonoe-zakura (Nine-fold Cherry)

○Igan-sai says: The flower form is the same as Kiritani, being double-flowered, but with somewhat more layering. Therefore it is called "nine-fold."

Asagi-zakura (Light Yellow Cherry)

○Igan-sai says: The flowers are the size of Kiritani and bloom at the same time as Kiritani in particular. They are single-petaled and white in color, with very green sepals. The flowers are not truly yellow - the petals appear blue when reflected against the sepals. This is namely the green-sepaled drooping-thread crabapple.
