現代語訳
○怡顔斎曰く、一重咲きで白色の大輪である。また八重咲きもある。これは江戸の品種と同じものである。ただし江戸のものよりは少し紅みがさしているので赤く光って見え、有明方の月の色に似ていることから、この名前がつけられた。

○Igensei says: It is single-petaled with large white flowers. There are also double-petaled varieties. This is the same species as those found in Edo. However, compared to the Edo varieties, it has a slightly reddish tinge, appearing to glow with a reddish light, and was named after its resemblance to the color of the moon at dawn (ariake).
